I guess the essence of my COMEDY is to GET into a very abnormal situation but act like it's NORMAL.

When you grow up, you don't REALIZE that your PARENTS are any different than anybody else's. And their behavior - you have NOTHING to compare it to. So that is what NORMAL is, EVEN if it's abnormal.

I LIKE stories where normal PEOPLE are in abnormal situations, and that's what APPEALS to me about history.

It's ABNORMAL for any MAN to have a LEADER other than GOD and CHRIST.

I always say I'm one of the most normal ABNORMAL people you'll EVER meet. I get embarrassed about how many medals I've won, and I get angry when people PRESUME that because you're gay you've got to wear pink and stilettos and CAMP it up, or that if you're disabled you should act like a victim and not have a life.

The world will TRY to make you think that being good is outdated and old-fashioned and that popularity comes from breaking the rules and lowering your standards. Don't buy into that way of thinking. As you watch TV or read MAGAZINES, you MIGHT be made to feel ABNORMAL when, really, you are the one who has it figured out.

Shrinking AWAY from DEATH is something unhealthy and ABNORMAL which robs the second half of life of its purpose.

I am REALLY interested in ECCENTRIC minds. It's rather like being fascinated by how cars work. It's really boring if your car works all the time. But as soon as something happens, you GET the bonnet up. If SOMEONE has an abnormal or DYSFUNCTIONAL state of mind, you get the bonnet up.
