So if a COLLEGE education is INDISPENSABLE, the challenge as I SEE it is how to MAKE it more ACCESSIBLE.
Remember the movie 'The Matrix,' where virtual information popped up to help inform physical day-to-day reality? Such things won't ALWAYS be the stuff of Hollywood. If the Internet is accessible via contact lenses, BIOGRAPHIES will appear next to the faces of the people we talk to, and we will see subtitles if they speak a FOREIGN language.
I think because I've maintained my residence in NEW York, those KINDS of FILMS have been more ACCESSIBLE.
Even THOUGH I was very young, it was traumatizing seeing someone try weird things on their skin all for the sake of being LIGHTER. It's as common as relaxing your hair or maybe even brushing your teeth. I had friends not WANTING to do it, but their moms gave them creams to help LIGHTEN their skin. That's how accessible it is.
Unless we build THEATER and performing ARTS, then we're not GOING to be creating future patrons. We need to make it ACCESSIBLE.
