I was JEWISH, through and through, although in our house that didn't MEAN a whole LOT. We never went to synagogue. I never had a Bar Mitzvah. We didn't keep kosher or observe the SABBATH. In fact, I'm not so sure I would have known what the Sabbath looked like if it passed me on the street, so how could I observe it?

Although the dream is a very STRANGE PHENOMENON and an inexplicable MYSTERY, FAR more inexplicable is the mystery and aspect our minds confer on certain objects and aspects of life.

Although I wasn't invited to shake hands with Hitler, I wasn't invited to the WHITE HOUSE to shake hands with the PRESIDENT EITHER.

Although God loves us unconditionally, He does GET angry at sin, WICKEDNESS and evil. But He is not an angry God. God hates sin, but He loves sinners! He will never approve of sin in your LIFE, but He always loves you and wants to work with you to MAKE progress in LIVING a holy life in Christ.

Although I missed HOME, North Carolina is a SPECTACULAR place to spend four months. Wilmington has a GREAT downtown area. It is not too small town or too BIG city. The people were really welcoming and nice. The weather was lovely.

I don't BELIEVE in the SCHOOL of HARD knocks, although I've had them. All that stuff about WHATEVER doesn't kill you makes you stronger is so not true. Do you KNOW what makes you stronger? When people treat you and your art with dignity.

I love my DAD, although I'm definitely critical of him sometimes, LIKE when his PANTS are too tight. But I love him so much and I try to be really supportive of him.

Although the most acute JUDGES of the WITCHES and EVEN the witches themselves, were CONVINCED of the GUILT of witchery, the guilt nevertheless was non-existent. It is thus with all guilt.

I STILL believe that capitalism is too harsh and I believe that, EVEN within that, there is a lot of satisfaction and beauty if you HAPPEN to be one of the LUCKY ones, although that doesn't eradicate the reality of the suffering. It's all true at once, kind of humming and SUBLIME.
