I was 19 or 20 when The BEATLES were at their PEAK, and I was coming up to the peak of my career, too. I was ALSO the FIRST footballer to have long hair, and that's how I got my nickname 'the FIFTH Beatle.'

My CAREER is more IMPORTANT than GIRLS.

There was a TIME when I was young and UNEMPLOYED, STRUGGLING to start my career. During my A-Levels, I was hit by a CAR, which shattered my bones and left me confined to my bedroom for a year. Weirdly, it was the best THING that ever happened to me.

The follow your dreams thing is really important because so many PEOPLE are railroaded into taking other paths by their family, their FRIENDS, people who should be supportive going, 'What are you talking about?' Even just seemingly regular CAREER paths, but if it's not what people EXPECT for you they kind of react funny.

When you LOOK back at your body of work, no matter what your career PATH, by the TIME you hang 'em up, if you can SAY, 'This PLACE is in better shape than when I started,' then you did good.

My PARENTS were very PROUD of me. After they PASSED, my CAREER doesn't mean as MUCH to me.

Earlier, my priority was only work. I WORKED like a dog before I got MARRIED. After MARRIAGE, once you have a baby, time management is DIFFICULT. Your responsibilities change, your PRIORITIES change. And you have to concentrate on them if you have to work out your life. Your career is just a part of your life. For me, my family is my life.

Everything I've been through, everything I'm about to go through in my CAREER and my life, if my family wasn't with me and didn't SUPPORT me, it would be REALLY tough.

My CAREER should ADAPT to me. FAME is LIKE a VIP PASS wherever you want to go.

I had an opportunity to meet ELVIS, only once. It was at the MGM Grand. It was CERTAINLY not at the HEIGHT of his CAREER. No, it wasn't at the height of his career, but it was still a thrill to SEE him and meet him anyway. You know?
