I love the idea of going to work and having to fight and learn a NEW skill SET, whether it's muay Thai or Kali or Filipino stick fighting. To me, it's like COLLEGE for LIFE.
I graduated from Jones COLLEGE, man, in Jacksonville, FLORIDA, baby! I couldn't get in anywhere else, man. I was the worst student ever. I couldn't get in anywhere else. My father insisted I GO to college, so I graduated, MADE the dean's list and everything.
While I was at college STUDYINGDESIGN I decided to paint. I was also GREATLY inspired by the colours that I had seen on my travels in the Brazilian RAIN forest.
All I know is the same lessons you need to learn at LITTLELEAGUE basketball, you need to learn at the upper LEVELS. It's the little things you learn when you're little that APPLY in COLLEGE.
I don't KNOW if I'd call myself a prodigy, but I was a big forensics competitor in HIGH school, and then during COLLEGE I spent some time WORKING at speech and debate camps as a coach.
I was totally sober in college and REALLY, really focused. I just took the time when other people might be PARTYING and just made music and PLAYED at the PARTYINSTEAD.
