The more we TRY to control our KIDS and CREATE who they are and where they're going, the more that will fall apart. That's a dangerous thing. So you need to actually manage the fear and figure out who your kids are. Who do they want to be and how can you help SHAPE that, but not control it.

In my OPINION, the most dangerous thing an ARTIST can do in this day and age is not EMBRACE the PRESENT.

If you've driven your kids to the store, and you leave them for FIVE minutes, by far the most DANGEROUS thing you've DONE is just put your kid in the CAR and driven them to the store.

I would really WANT all my films to make MONEY. But this weekend calculation is the most dangerous thing because, BASED on the amount collected in the FIRST weekend, they start declaring the film a hit or a flop. It can't be.
