Just as we should NEVER balance the BUDGET on the backs of the POOR, so it is an ECONOMIC DELUSION to think you can balance it only on the wallets of the rich.

The idea that we're GOING to replace OIL and NATURAL gas with SOLAR and wind, and nothing else, is a hallucinatory delusion.

Despite our very recent APPEARANCE on the planet, humanity combines arrogance with increasing material DEMANDS, even as we become more numerous. Our TOUGHNESS is a DELUSION. Have we the intelligence and discipline to vigilantly guard against our TENDENCY to grow without limit?

Great cataclysmic things can GO by and NEITHER the orchestra nor the conductor are under the delusion that WHETHER they MAKE this or that gesture is GOING to be the deciding factor in how it comes out.

If you are delusional, SOMETIMES the REALITY catches up with your DELUSION, and then all of a SUDDEN you are a GENIUS.

When I was 24, I was FULL of life. I was that HAM who wanted to be famous, a movie star, all that stuff. I THINK it's cool. But it was not what I was searching for, really. It was more a DELUSION.

There's always an element of self delusion among people who believe they OUGHT to be President. There's an underestimation of your opponent and an overestimation of your own ABILITIES. This is compatible with being rich and powerful, the IDEA that we were BLESSED by God because we deserve to be blessed.

It has been lately urged in a very respectable QUARTER that it is the mission of this COUNTRY to spread civil and religious liberty all over the globe, and especially over this CONTINENT - even by force, if necessary. It is a sad DELUSION.

We still LIVE with this unbelievable threat over our heads of nuclear WAR. I mean, are we stupid? Do we think that the nuclear threat has GONE, that the nuclear destruction of the planet is not imminent? It's a delusion to think it's gone AWAY.

But those who BELIEVE that what our people DESIRE is big GOVERNMENT are living in a state of delusion.

Many of US are under the delusion that the police exist solely to deal with crime and keep us safe. That is to ignore the major FOCUS of many of today's top cops on managing reputation - both of their FORCE and, by default, their CAREERS.

I'm so GRATEFUL for my ENDLESS DELUSION.
