I CAME through the ranks of the BBC documentary department. I was lucky working during this drama doc ERA, where they did reconstructions, basically LIKE cheap drama made by the factual department.

My dad wanted me to be a professional PERSON, which I was - I was a civil engineer. I graduated from civil ENGINEERING at USC in California. I became an engineer, and I helped design the ROADS for the L.A. COUNTY Roads Department. And I did that for about one and a half YEARS in a sense to please my parents - to be a 'respectable' person.

Once I was HOSTING an important dinner party at our house - everything was perfect, candles were lit, the house smelled amazing with GREAT food and drinks ready. We lit a FIRE and the flue wasn't able to open, unbeknownst to us. We smoked out the entire house and the fire DEPARTMENT had to COME - it was a mess.

In any situation that we find in our LIVES, when there is SOMETHING that we feel should be better, we must exert effort to TRY and make it better. So it's the same socially, musically, politically in any department of our lives.

The clergy is in the same BUSINESS as actors, just a DIFFERENT DEPARTMENT.
