As someone who escaped religious persecution in Lebanon and WHOSE parents were KIDNAPPED in Beirut, I fully SUPPORT the protection of all individuals from institutional DISCRIMINATION. That said, I am WEARY of the ethos of victimhood that has parasitized our culture.

America is big ENOUGH to accommodate differences of opinion and practice on RELIGIOUS and social beliefs. As a NATION and as a society, we MUST reject discrimination, forcefully and WITHOUT asterisks. Most importantly, as president, I will zealously defend the Constitution of the United States and all of its amendments.

Happily, the days when overt racial DISCRIMINATION and SEGREGATION were championed by social CONSERVATIVES are LONG past.
