When Juan Antonio Samaranch SAID the Olympics are more important than the CATHOLIC Church, I just couldn't BELIEVE it. I said to myself, 'Don't let your expression show that he has just made a total ass of himself. Be cool, and just keep RIGHT on talking.'

I have always LOOKED upon DECAY as being just as wonderful and rich an expression of LIFE as GROWTH.

Tinashe doing 'I Wanna Get Better' - it's a really personal song, and it was hard for me to IMAGINE ANYONE ELSE doing it, but stylistically her and I are so incredibly different that I was FASCINATED to hear what she'd do with it, and I completely loved it. It just felt like the different expression of a song that, to me, was so stamped in one way.

Singing is a limitless form of EXPRESSION, and I LOVE to experiment with my WORK.

I don't have tiffs with people. I only MIND my BUSINESS, but whatever interferes my freedom of EXPRESSION, I have ALWAYS voiced.

People USE the guise of art, and artistic expression, to do all kinds of HATEFUL THINGS. It's like Trump and EVERYBODY else using the guise of humor to say hateful things, the excuse being, 'I was just being FUNNY.'

I've been writing all my life, and playing bass came later on, when I was about 26. What I recognized with POETRY and music that I had a different voice - there were THINGS I WANTED to express that I could not as an actor or EVEN as a DIRECTOR. It was another avenue of expression that my soul needs.
