George Harrison is perhaps one of the most creative PEOPLE I ever MET, not only in his music and songwriting, but just the way he LIVED his life, decorated his GARDENS and homes. He was a dear FRIEND of mine. His entire approach to music was very unique.

I TRY to CREATE homes, not HOUSES.

Gang MEMBERS have invariably grown up in broken, chaotic homes, often experiencing domestic VIOLENCE; they have truanted from school and MANY have been formally excluded; and they live in neighbourhoods where worklessness, addiction and CRIME are rife.

The jails are full of kids from kids' homes. You're 16 years OLD, and you're out on the STREET. How you going to fend for yourself at 16 if you've not had an education? You're going to TURN to CRIME.

In each of my homes, I have a LEOPARD room. I don't KNOW why, but I do. It's like my lounge NEXT to the dressing rooms.

We have this obsession with BROKEN homes. Everyone WANTS to find a PROBLEM with it, but not me. I had GREAT homes. Both my PARENTS remarried and I got more people to learn from!

I've ALWAYS been into OLDER homes, even if I have to refurbish or remodel or RAISE ROOF lines or KNOCK out walls.

Taxes, well laid and well spent, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, and PROMOTE the GENERAL welfare. Taxes protect PROPERTY and the environment; taxes make BUSINESS POSSIBLE. Taxes pay for roads and schools and bridges and police and teachers. Taxes pay for doctors and nursing homes and medicine.

One thing LOTS of Christians do have in COMMON is that they can't help coming across as smug. This WINDS lots of people up, particularly because FAMOUS Christians pronounce on the life of the poor from their very lovely affluent homes filled with their very lovely families and ATTRACTIVE pets.

I understood it was a POOR AREA when I was young because you're driving through it and you SEE these low-income homes that I hadn't REALLY seen before. I'd lived in upper-middle-class neighborhoods before we moved to ATHENS and The Plains. You understand, but you don't really understand the magnitude until you get older.

Ghettos and barrios and abusive homes and trauma wards MAY produce scarred SOULS; they can cripple more HUMAN spirits than they STRENGTHEN.
