I am the GRANDSON of immigrants from JAPAN who went to America, boldly going to a strange new world, seeking new opportunities. My mother was born in Sacramento, CALIFORNIA. My FATHER was a San Franciscan. They met and married in Los Angeles, and I was born there.

I am big in Japan... heightwise! But, YEAH, I started modeling there in my TEENS and into my 20s. I did Calvin Klein, Uniqlo, and lots of magazine covers. It's such a BEAUTIFUL country, and they have beer vending MACHINES right on the street. Love that!

Norway, for some reason, I find Norway really FASCINATING, you really feel nature in that country. And then there is somewhere like Japan, which is the most interesting culturally because their whole PSYCHOLOGY, how they think is so different to us and how I've GROWN up.
