The coming and GOING of the seasons give us more than the springtimes, summers, autumns, and winters of our lives. It reflects the coming and going of the circumstances of our lives LIKE the glassy SURFACE of a pond that SHOWS our faces radiant with joy or contorted with pain.
THINGS never go the way you expect them to. That's both the JOY and frustration in life. I'm finding as I get older that I don't mind, though. It's the SURPRISES that tickle me the most, the things you don't SEECOMING.
Our goals must be to find new, environmentally-friendly WAYS by which to CONTINUE the ART of creation, to utilize our VALUABLE human skills, and to make things that will bring JOY.
For me, law school was a time of joy and hope. Joy in learning my way around the law - learning how to orbit a PROBLEM and to ask myself HARDQUESTIONS and to be asked hard questions. Hope that I could be of some use, to be part of the greater GOOD - to make the world a LITTLE bit better.
People who become 'elite' at what they do aren't STRIVING to be 'elite' just to JOIN some special CLUB. They take great joy and SATISFACTION in the pursuit of mastery, and they compete against themselves, not others.
A lot of more modern films seem to just be out for violence or sex or what have you, without relating it to what's GOING within human BEINGS. But EVERY now and then one comes along that does that, and it's a JOY.
