In 2005, I WORKED as a scenic PAINTER for a while when I was TAKING a BREAK from MUSIC.

The PAINTER has TOTAL CONTROL over what they're SHOWING to the viewer.

I think it's really the job of the COMPOSER, the ARTIST, the painter, the WRITER to PRESENT people with options. I'm just really reflecting the thoughts and actions AROUND me.

The PAINTER who feels obligated to depict his subjects as uniformly beautiful or handsome and WITHOUT flaws will fall SHORT of making art.

The poet ranks far below the PAINTER in the REPRESENTATION of visible THINGS, and far below the MUSICIAN in that of INVISIBLE things.
