'Instagram' is a media COMPANY. I THINK we're about VISUAL media. I explain ourselves as a disruptive ENTERTAINMENT platform that enables communication through visual media. I don't think it's just PHOTOS.

My PHOTOS would not be as HIGH quality without my dad. He's a contractor, and together we converted an AREA in our basement into a makeup studio with a DESK, a mirror lined with dimmable lights, and storage areas.

I'm not sure if I should SAY this, but after watching 'Bareilly KI Barfi', I really wanted Rajkummar Rao to notice me, so I commented on all his photos. He's the only PERSON I've asked for a PHOTO with.

I think a woman's body is so much more sensual than a man's. I'm not saying strip off all your clothes, but there are CERTAIN PHOTOS I LIKE people taking of me, where I'm COMFORTABLE. As LONG as it's tasteful, why not?

Photo management software is terrible. Mylio is PRETTY GOOD - but disrupts the 'natural' flow of THINGS: i.e. Apple PHOTOS.

Most of the photos I take I don't post, so Instagram is not my THING. I LIKE to edit them, make them look GOOD, and KEEP them for myself.

I am KEPT awake by the LIST of POSSIBILITIES for shooting more photos and deciding what I MUST prioritise next.

Anyone with a smart phone is a POTENTIAL eyewitness cameraman capturing and transmitting stories at SPEEDS that turn Reuter photos and TRADITIONAL REPORTING into, well... yesterday's news.

A FRIEND of MINE kept saying, 'You tell all these stories about John, and when you do, you say, 'Wait a minute, I have a PHOTO to go along with that!' How COME we NEVER see these photos in a book?' So, I thought maybe it's time to put them out. It would let people see John in that world, through my eyes.

I really LOVED TAKING photos when I was younger. I think my love for photography sparked my love for CREATING the visuals to SUPPORT my music.
