For a DECADE, I was a stay-at-home mom. I sent my husband to his law office, sat on PTA boards and baked COOKIES - GREAT cookies. All of a sudden, I had no husband, no job, few prospects, and TWO small children who had grown accustomed to eating.

I've been fortunate to play many DIFFERENT types of characters thus far. However, I really enjoy playing ROLES that are different than who I am personally. You can have these small fantasy WORLDS where you can be people you WOULD otherwise never get to be: a doctor, a LAWYER, a ruthless business woman.

A pedestal is as MUCH a PRISON as any SMALL, CONFINED SPACE.

Be THANKFUL for what you have. APPRECIATE the SMALL and SIMPLE THINGS.

The cherry blossom tree is TRULY a sight to behold, especially when it is in full riotous bloom. There are several VARIETIES of the cherry blossom tree, and while most of them produce flowering branches full of SMALL pinkish-hued FLOWERS, some of them produce actual CHERRIES.

There's nothing that's more unfair or UNJUST than people USING their POWER to try to make other people feel small, to tell them who they are or what they are CAPABLE of, to SAY their identity doesn't belong.

Small acts by millions of people - imagine the IMPACT of that. If someone CHANGES one thing, they're likely to change TWO things, and then three things. Then they're likely to demand that from their leadership.

A CITY can only be reconstructed in the form of URBAN quarters. A large or a small city can only be reorganized as a large or a small number of urban quarters; as a federation of autonomous quarters. Each QUARTER must have its own CENTER, periphery and limit. Each quarter must be a city WITHIN a city.

But words are THINGS, and a SMALL drop of ink, Falling like DEW, upon a thought, produces That which makes thousands, perhaps MILLIONS, think.

There's blackballing INVOLVED with Machine Gun Kelly, a lot of confusion about who I am as an artist. But that's so SMALL in the WAKE of SOMEONE like Nelson Mandela.

It's so COMFORTING to have a SMALL PIECE of CAKE. Just one SLICE.

My work always comes from the same source - from movement. It doesn't necessarily COME from an outside idea, THOUGH the source can be something small or LARGE that I've SEEN, often birds or other ANIMALS. The seeing can then provoke the imagining.
