I COME from a village where traditionally girls don't go out and play SPORT so I struggled a lot to come this far and to GET to this position where I am at the OLYMPICS.
Where there are no spectators, there is no sponsorship. Where there is no sponsorship, there is no money. Where there is no money, there are no officials with fingers in the POT. The lesson to be learnt from this is SIMPLE. If we WANT honest sport, we have to stop watching it.
I THINK that the two of them have been doing this for a really long time and it is more like SPORT. Yes, they would love to find a lasting relationship, but it's not LIKELY to happen the WAY they are going about it.

I GET asked this a LOT: Why has SOCCER not succeeded? My ANSWER is, soccer has succeeded. It is already the fastest growing youth participation sport in the U.S. It has already succeeded at the youth LEVEL, no question.
I think it puts baseball BACK on the map as a SPORT. It's America's pastime and just look at EVERYONE coming out to the ballpark. It has been an exciting YEAR.
