Most of my avant garde fashion is SAVED for my videos and for the stage. In real life, I tend TOWARDS a classy, black Goth look. I love black, a few sparkles, FALSE eyelashes and boots. But when I perform, I love fantasy and PROPS.

I'm homemade. I upload my VIDEOS in my LIVING ROOM; I edit everything, and I upload on my laptop. And my viewers love that about me, and they get inspired and do it themselves.

I STARTED out as MUSICIAN and RECORDING artist but quite soon started to do my own videos. One THING LED to another, and soon I was making videos for a living.

I've done my own videos, I do my own styling, so I feel like I've just always been a visual artist... I was one of those kids who wanted to make my own clothes and take PICTURES of everything. Everything INSPIRED me, and everything felt like art AROUND me.

I feel like EVERYBODY that saw my VIDEOS was like, 'Oh this DUDE's about to rap.' They just played my videos, and I feel like I shocked a lot of people.

The online THING has been REALLY BIG for us: the YouTube videos, the MySpace.

I run all my SOCIAL. I post everything, all the VIDEOS and STUFF.

I was doing Facebook COMEDY VIDEOS; then I moved over to INSTAGRAM, and then I hopped on Twitter. That is where I really was a MASTER. That was the first place where I COULD go viral.

There's just SOMETHING, MAYBE it's the authenticity. I think that's the appeal and why PEOPLE choose to watch really unpolished and unprofessional videos on YouTube over these multi-million dollar television SHOWS.

I submitted VIDEOS and applications to talent agencies and TV SHOWS; I drove to VEGAS and visited agents. I was on 'America's Got Talent'; I played for FREE at venues in attempts to be 'found' and yet all the EXPERTS in the entertainment industry told me that what I did was not marketable and that I had to join a group or do more traditional music.

There I am, chain-smoking and WATCHING YOUTUBE videos in my BEDROOM at 6 A.M. when a spoken-word video comes on the screen. I knew I had to do it: that it was ANOTHER part of me that needed to be explored.

When I APPROACH my music and my music videos, obviously all of the subjects and stories that I TELL COME from an HONEST, truthful place and the experiences that I've had.

We flirted with popularity in HIGH school, which was when people realized that our videos, if used for a class ASSIGNMENT, WOULD get you an automatic A. It took me a few months to realize I was just being used. They would only HANG out with us while we were making the film for them.

I was into SKATEBOARDING, so through skating I kind of GOT into HIP HOP by discovering it through skate videos.
