As a SOCIETY, when you have your MORTALITY slapped in your FACE, it CHANGES you.

I was huge fan of most of the ANIMATED series growing up in the GOLDEN era of '90s superhero animation. I didn't CARE who was producing - it was MUCH more about the SPECIFIC heroes that I connected with.

All of our HEROES did silly stuff early and got more serious as time went on. Steve MARTIN, ADAM Sandler, BILL Murray. They got older, wiser, and made different CHOICES.

In my generation, if a man washes the dishes, the older WOMEN still tend to cluster AROUND and coo and thank him and praise him. But if a WOMAN washes the dishes, it's business as usual, even if both man and woman have tough office JOBS.

I felt bad about the controversy because they STOPPED PLAYING my songs on American radio stations. But there was nothing wrong with what I did. Now EVERYBODY sings the national anthem the way they want.

I was born with an extremely NEGATIVE ATTITUDE. I was the kid who wouldn't smile in Christmas photos, was a poor sport, and hated a lot of THINGS. I EVENTUALLY GREW out of my negativity when I matured.

I've heard there are vegan CORN DOGS - I don't KNOW if that's true but, jeez, I'd love to EAT one of them.

After COLLEGE, I MOVED to Breckenridge, Colorado, and went snowboarding every day. I didn't know what I wanted to do, but I knew what I didn't want to do. So I APPLIED to grad school for writing, and I just gave it a shot and TOOK it from there.

I had to go to a mirror and look at it. I couldn't PICTURE myself in my own HEAD. I had no image beyond a stick figure. I wasn't a MEAN person as a KID, or dumb, and something has to be said to justify excluding you.
