I've realized how precious life is. When I was younger, I was more adventurous. I felt INVINCIBLE. I was game for everything. As a mom, I don't WANT to GET INJURED because then I can't take CARE of my kids.

I've ALWAYS FELT that CHILDREN are the FLOWERS of our FUTURE.

If we just stand at TWO opposite ENDS of the spectrum screaming in each other's face, we're NEVER gonna get anything DONE. I don't agree with a Trump voter, but why do they feel LIKE that? Yes, some of those people are racist and have hateful opinions, but some of those people voted for him because they felt completely left behind.

I'm PROUD of being PART Cherokee, and I think it's time all us INDIANS felt the same WAY.

O, you men who think or SAY that I am malevolent, stubborn or misanthropic, how greatly do you wrong me. You do not know the SECRET cause which MAKES me seem that way to you, and I would have ended my LIFE - it was only my art that held me back. Ah, it seemed impossible to leave the world until I had brought forth all that I felt was within me.

I felt PERHAPS 'The Girl with the Dragon TATTOO' was a little PREMATURE. It was a huge hit around the world - it was still RUNNING in the theatres - and the Americans at that time were already shooting the remake, and I was like, 'Whoa! Give it a break of five or six years and GET a little inspired, and then do it.'

I played until I felt like it. Some have to RETIRE due to injuries or other issues AHEAD of TIME. But I played until I was 40 years old.

I THINK probably one of the IMPORTANT things that happened to me was growing up in Idaho in the mountains, in the woods, and having a very STRONG presence of the wilderness around me. That never felt like EMPTINESS. It always felt like presence.

When I reached America, there was so MUCH space and colour. The possibilities seemed endless. At least that's how I felt at 18. But of course, I didn't have to TAKE the usual immigrant route of battling to find a job and a HOME in a strange country. I could play tennis. I spoke the language, and I was MAKING money. It was easy, really.

But I am a blasted tree; the BOLT has entered my soul; and I FELT then that I should survive to exhibit what I shall soon cease to be - a MISERABLE spectacle of wrecked HUMANITY, pitiable to OTHERS and intolerable to myself.
