I think Edie Sedgwick comes BACK, too. Every five or six YEARS, there is always something about Edie, because she was so MODERN and STYLISH and ELEGANT and hippie-ish, all at the same time. So I think that people will always love her.

I'm from VERMONT, where to be STYLISH and cool is to have a dirty pair of hiking boots and know how to change a tire, hang drywall, and bale hay. Those people are my home, and every time I COME home, it reminds me that there's something to be SAID for being in the spotlight, but it can NEVER be a whole part of me.

I grew up idolizing Madeline Kahn and Lily Tomlin and Carol Burnett, Ruth Gordon, Rosalind Russell, Amy Irving, women who were stylish and real actresses who did real WORK and COULD not be replaced with anyone ELSE. You cannot cast anyone else in Madeline Kahn's ROLES.

I started taking my fiance, Justin, to some red CARPET events I would go to, and a bowtie is often something that was required. We came across a LOT of stylish bowties. We LIKED playing dress up for these events and we thought it would be FUN to start a LINE, but it was never a reality until recently.

Some of my FAVORITES are 'The Road' by Cormac McCarthy, 'The Virgin Suicides' by Jeffrey Eugenides, 'The Interpreter of Maladies' by Jhumpa Lahiri, and 'Blindness' by Jose Saramago.

It's stylish to have PEOPLE over. But unstylish to MAKE them BRING food. It's so tacky, making EVERYBODY appear at the door with a dish. BETTER to order in, use a caterer or bring prepared food into your kitchen.

When I was YOUNGER, all of my family's money went into RACING. We were NEVER a STYLISH family. We never went shopping, because all the money went into buying tires and fuel and all of that.

I KIND of say I am a STYLISH geek, to MAKE myself FEEL BETTER, but I am definitely a geek.
