You know how much money I could have made PLAYING professional FOOTBALL as a tight end? But I can't JUMP, and I can't run FAST. That was my problem.

I FIND that the very things that I get CRITICIZED for, which is usually being DIFFERENT and just doing my own THING and just being ORIGINAL, is the very thing that's making me successful.

But an INNOVATION, to grow organically from WITHIN, has to be BASED on an intact tradition, so our idea is to BRING TOGETHER musicians who represent all these traditions, in workshops, festivals, and concerts, to see how we can connect with each other in music.

People who don't like me TALK about it as though I'm trash because I have tattoos. I find that INSANE because it's 2008, not the 1950s. Tattoos aren't LIMITED to sailors. It's a form of art I find BEAUTIFUL. I LOVE it.

After voluntary exertions on the part of our PEOPLE to which the history of the world furnishes no parallel, is the OLD root of bitterness STILL to REMAIN in the ground, to sprout and bear fruit in the FUTURE as it has borne fruit in the past?

We LOOK forward to the TIME when the POWER of LOVE will replace the Love of Power. Then will our world know the blessings of peace.

In every relationship, the WORK is NEVER just in the positive ACTIONS we do for each other, but in the FOLLOW up.
