The EXCITING PART about life is FINDING out what you can't do, because you don't FIND out until you try to do something and you're STOPPED.

I don't feel comfortable WITHOUT certain things. I ALWAYS want some money in my pocket to do WHATEVER I want. Even if it's something like I want to eat food that COSTS more than what I got.

To me, I'll ALWAYS be the skinny, 5-foot-6 eighth-grader on the YMCA COURT, trying to GET grown men to CHOOSE me for pickup games. It wasn't always easy. And that's what drives me.

You want be YOUNG and have fun, that's great. But while you're having fun, someone you don't see is studying and PREPARING. You MIGHT END up working for that person. No one wants to hear that! But I try to tell young PEOPLE: You want to be the one signing the front of the check, not the back.

I'm CONSTANTLY thinking about design, shapes, patterns and colors, so I just want to be more of a blank canvas. But there is a comfort in KNOWING what you're going to wear, and that probably comes from Catholic school, where I wore a UNIFORM for 10 YEARS.

As for dialogue, I think it keeps THINGS MOVING to CUT to the CHASE.

Logic is one thing, the human animal another. You can quite easily propose a logical SOLUTION to something and at the same time hope in your HEART of HEARTS it won't WORK out.

It's a CHALLENGE between me and the hurdle, and the hurdle has ALWAYS won.
